In Venturelytic, you store information about your venture targets, investments, co-investors, partners, and other relevant companies and contacts in your ecosystem using Accounts and Contacts. There are 3 type of accounts in Venturelytic:

  1. Ventures, which are any investment targets you’re looking to invest in or you have invested in. 

  2. Investors, which could either be a

    1. General Partner (GP) who raises and manages venture funds. They are your fellow investment companies. 

    2. Or a Limited Partner (LP) who invest on a fund to fund basis and commit capital to your fund or other LP funds. These are mostly institutional investors, such as pension funds, insurance companies, and high net worth individuals. 

  3. Other, which includes all companies other than Ventures or Investors that might be relevant to you. 


Create a New Account 

Let’s say you want to create a new account. 

  1. On the Accounts tab (1), click New (2).

  1. Select the type of account you want to add. 

  2. Click Next.

  1. Fill in the general and contact information sections based on guidance. Note that since a contact has to be connected to an account, adding a contact will not be possible after an account has been saved. 

  2. Click Save.
